SSX 3

Description
SSX 3 is a single-player and multiplayer snowboarding game. The game is set on one massive interconnected mountain divided into three peaks. Unlike earlier entries, which presented isolated courses, players are free to ride across open slopes to discover events, challenges, and hidden routes. The goal is to rise through the ranks of the SSX circuit by winning competitions, mastering tricks, and earning rewards, all while building a reputation as one of the world’s top snowboarders.
Events on the mountain cover several disciplines. Standard races pit all riders against each other down twisting courses filled with jumps, rails, and obstacles, while freestyle competitions challenge players to perform extended combos and high-scoring tricks in halfpipes, big air runs, and trick-focused arenas. In addition to these structured contests, riders can freely descend from peak to peak, chaining stunts together and learning shortcuts that provide an advantage in later events.
The trick system expands on earlier titles by introducing the Uber mechanic. Building up momentum allows players to execute exaggerated spins, flips, and grabs, which can then transition into Monster Tricks, the highest-scoring maneuvers in the game. Grinding rails, riding environmental objects, and linking tricks together extends combos and adds to the score multiplier. Crashes reduce the rider’s flow, encouraging careful balance between risky stunts and clean execution.
Progression is tied to both performance and customization. Winning races and completing challenges earns cash, which can be used to purchase new boards, gear, and clothing. Characters also gain experience over time, allowing their attributes such as speed, trick ability, and stability to improve. This growth system gives players the choice between enhancing technical skill or creating a distinctive visual style for their rider.
In addition to the single-player career, multiplayer supports head-to-head racing and trick competitions. Players can also simply explore the mountain together, turning the open environment into a shared space for stunts and experimentation. Bonus modes, collectibles, and hidden events reward exploration, ensuring that free riding offers progression alongside structured competition.
