Star Defender

Just as the name implies, Star Defender is a clone of Williams' original Defender. Using the joystick or mouse, you fly your spaceship back and forth above the surface of a series of moons where alien invaders try to kidnap humans. If humans are taken, they mutate into dangerous aliens. There are six types of aliens to fight. You have a laser cannon and a small supply of smart bombs as your weapons.

This implementation manages to scroll very rapidly using a split-screen method, even though it is multitasking friendly and can even run in several screenmodes.
