Starship Pegasus

Starship Pegasus is a 1-player science fiction strategy game for the TI-99/4a.

The player has been put in command of the Starship Pegasus, tasked by the Emperor with travelling to specific quadrants. There are a total of 100 quadrants, each containing a number of star systems and planets.

Hyperspace and movement cost energy. In hyperspace, the player can be attacked by marauders. When visiting other systems, if inhabited, the player can make contact with the inhabitants. The goal is to exploit planets, which can be accomplished by making a treaty with the civilization through diplomacy, destroying the civilization by firing lasers, or exploiting uninhabited planets. Each planet can be exploited once per game, yielding energy, minerals, and technology.
