Sudoku
Description
Sudoku is a handheld version of the classic game that uses a touch screen and a stylus. It comes with two modes: beginner and advanced. The difference is that, in beginner mode, mistakes will be noted by flashing the number entered.
Each mode has four difficulty levels. It is possible to enter notes by using the "N" button at the top of the screen. (Notes list possible numbers that could go into a space, indicated by a flashing triangle at the lower-right; the screen will cycle through all entered numbers.) Time needed to solve the puzzle is tracked, though there is no high score list. Finally, a solve mode is included. This is just a blank grid that allows the player to input any Sudoku puzzle they want.
The game features an (optionally) illuminated screen and (optional) sound effects.
Sudoku was released with two models, a regular one, and a Mega Screen model. The Mega Screen model has a larger screen (3" vs 2" tall) and allows for modifying the contrast. (By pausing the game and hitting one of the nine numbers at the bottom.) There are no gameplay differences.
