Super Dominoes
Description
Super Dominoes is a loose adaptation of dominoes. The dominoes can be placed horizontally or vertically relative to other tiles on the board, with no restrictions, as long as the end of the domino doesn't touch the side of another one. The placement is only valid if the values of the two adjacent domino ends match. Players start with seven dominoes each (also called bones), and the one with the highest valued double (a bone with the same number on both ends) has the first move. The bones are played by dragging them from the player's hand. If there are no valid matches, it's possible to draw more from the bone pile, and if that one is depleted, the turn skips to the next player. There are two ways to win a hand: either by playing all the dominoes before the opponent, or by making the end dominoes add up to a multiple of five. The winner scores an amount of points equal to the value of the loser's bones. The first player to reach a cumulative score of either 250 or 500 points wins the game.
The board includes several hot spots of different types: Instant Score, Mystery, Multiplier, Scratcher, and Deal. Playing a domino on a hot spot will capture it, and yield some reward. Instant Score adds the number of points it displays, Mystery adds a hidden amount of points, Multiplier multiplies the score by the number shown, Scratcher is a Lottso-style scratcher mini-game where the goal is to match any two values to win that amount of points, and Deal forces the opponent to draw a number of tiles from the bone pile.
It's possible to play against a human opponent or versus the computer.
