Super Xalaxer

Building on the formula of Xalaxer, Super Xalaxer expands it in several ways. The player controls two spaceships simultaneously, one ship controlled with the A and D keys and the other one - with the mouse (in default layout), and shooting is automatic. The game is a mission-based vertical scrolling shooter, with several distinct missions and boss battles. The ships' guns can be upgraded by catching power-ups during gameplay. The lifebar is now visible onscreen. There's an additional high-score mode for some replay value.
