TAGAP 4
Description
TAGAP 4 is the fourth part in the freeware TAGAP series, starring a cybernetic battle penguin Pablo. The fourth game picks up from the end of the third, with Pablo getting sucked out of time and space, into a parallel time-line. In this 'new' time-line, there was no Pablo to repeatedly save the world, so the original villain of the series - Doctor Victor Glowenko - was able to complete his world domination plan and now rules the whole planet.
Pablo has to defeat his creator (again) and find the Personal Transmat Beacon - a gadget from his previous adventure that fell through the void with him. It is Pablo's only ticket home.
TAGAP 4 continues the side-scrolling 2D platformer shooter formula of the original games, but is far more fast paced. The weapon system is also different, this time revolving around one upgrade-able weapon that can be loaded with any kind of ammunition you can find. Lastly, there's a hint of modern DOOM games, with Cleaving enemies working similarly to Glory Kills in those games.
Completing the game also unlocks "TAGAP+", which is a remake of the first half of the original TAGAP game, re-done in the new engine and game play.
