Description
Take-Out Weight Curling 2 is a follow-up to the earlier title Take-Out Weight Curling from the same developer.
The gameplay is similar to the predecessor, but some new features have been added:
- Improved graphics, audio, game physics and multiplayer mode.
- 'Skipper only' option lets you call all the shots without getting your hands dirty.
- Crowd cheers or jeers based on how successful (or unsuccessful) your throws are.
- Ice condition deteriorates over time.
- Defeat Canadian curling player Randy Ferbey and add him to your team.
- Win trophies for display in your team's cabinet.
- 4 modes of play: single match, multiplayer, bonspiel (tournament) and career.
- 4 arenas to curl in: local, regional, tournament and a secret unlockable arena.
- Customizable games: set things like CCA or international rules, ice speed etc.
- Skins tournament format.
- Play online against other players using Gamespy Arcade. (unavailable after 2014)
- Create your own curling team: customize details like gender, faces, jackets etc.
- In-game tutorial/slideshow.
As an extra it contains The Curling Song by acclaimed Canadian comedy duo, Bowser and Blue. Apart from this, the game features no music, only sound effects and voices.
The online play feature does not work after the GameSpy service closed down in 2014.
