Talking Cloze Technique: Greek Mythology
Description
Talking Cloze Technique: Greek Mythology is an educational game that teaches reading in context. It contains eight stories adapted from various Greek myths. Each story consists of multiple pages of text which are accompanied with pictures that can be clicked on to start a brief animation. On each page there are two omitted words that the student should fill in. Clicking on the blanks will lead to an animated owl called Mo Mentum appearing who will offer a choice of three words. Clicking on the right one will allow the student to continue with the story. After filling in all the words a score will be given and if more than 75% of the answers were correct the student will be awarded with a golden key.
The myths included are:
- Daedalus and Icarus
- Jason and Medea
- Odysseus
- Heracles
- Perseus and Medusa
- Theseus and the Minotaur
