Tank Strike
Description
Tank Strike is an Artillery variant. The player take control over tanks (or, depending on the level theme, other things like cannons or octopodes. The basic idea is simple: during each turn, the player aims the tank gun (angle and strength) and tries to hit the other players with a bomb. Alternatively the bomb can also be placed down with a fuse. In the standard configuration, when a bomb hits the left or right border of the screen, it bounces back; if it leaves upwards, the shot continues to be simulated until it re-enters the screen. Everything which is hit by the blast radius takes damage - including the environment. Up to eight tanks (all either controlled by players or the AI) can participate in a match.
Each participant starts with some money (and receives more for inflicted damage and destruction) which can be used to purchase useful things before each round: weapons (e.g. a spread shot, a gun which has low damage destroys a big chunk of land, a gun which goes through the environment or a parachute bomb), ammo (the standard bomb has unlimited ammo), shields or modifiers (e.g. heavy gravity, magnet, or reversed gravity). The match itself can also be customized in various ways: standard options (number of players, level theme, number of rounds), weapon options (de-activating weapons/modifiers, changing the money cost), cash options (starting money, money rewards), level options (e.g. if the borders are elastic like described above, some cornerstones for the random level creation, wind power, gravity, etc.) and tank options (most importantly how much time each player has to prepare the shot).
