Taste Invaders

Taste Invaders is a version of the classic arcade game Space Invaders created as part of a marketing campaign by the American fast food chain Chipotle Mexican Grill to promote their claim that their food is free of GMOs (genetically modified organisms). Instead of a spacecraft, the player controls a flying burrito, and instead of aliens, the enemies are GMOs. Enemies advance from the top of the screen while firing upon the player, who must shoot back to eliminate the GMOs before any can reach the bottom of the screen. There are three Chipotle restaurants between the GMOs and the player which the player can take shelter under, but these restaurants are vulnerable to damage from either side and can be destroyed. The player's score is recorded in an online leaderboard to compare against other players.
