Taxi

Taxi is a driving game where the player takes on the role of a taxi driver. As can be expected the game is about picking up and delivering passengers. The game contains six cities (Dallas, New York, San Francisco, London, Paris and Shanghai) each which is a single screen level played from a top down perspective. As a passenger appears the player uses the joystick to drive to it and pulls up to the curb to pick it up. It's destination will then appear as a cross on the map and the player has to drive there. Each delivered passenger gives a fare and a tip. Driving directly to the destination leads to a big tip while taking a detour leads to a smaller one. When driving it's necessary to watch out for red lights. Driving past one leads to a fine and the passenger will be lost.

The game can be played by two players who then have to cooperate in gaining money for the company.
