Team Fortress 2

Description
Team Fortress 2 is the successor of Team Fortress Classic and is also a class-based multiplayer team shooter.
The game features nine classes which cover all the classics from the original game, including the Heavy Weapons Guy, the Pyro and the Spy. Each class has a different set of weapons and abilities. While the Heavy Weapons Guy has his mini-gun and moves slowly over the map, the Medic stays in the background and uses his healing beam to assist the Heavy. If he does so long enough, the Medic can then trigger an Übercharge which makes both targets invulnerable for a few seconds. The Spy is instead more of a loner and disguises himself as the enemy in order to infiltrate them and make instant melee-kills.
To use all these classes, the release version of the game featured 6 maps (by 2025, updates have resulted in a pool of over 200 official maps) with different gameplay modes (4 at launch, 21 by 2025). These include classic modes like Capture the Flag (CTF) and Control Point, as well as completely original ones like Payload (escorting/attacking a moving cart) and Mann vs. Machine (preventing AI-controlled bots from planting an explosive).
The game logs every player activity and makes extensive use of statistics. Even when a player dies, the game tells them, for example, how long they've survived and if they've done better in the past. At the end of each round, a personal overview with statistics for every class is shown, and like in the Battlefield series, players can access all the stats from the main menu. Also included is developer commentary. Players can receive weapons, cosmetics and crafting items (as of the WAR! update from 17 December 2009), and as of 2011, they can trade all these items among each other via Steam's trading system.
Graphically, Team Fortress 2 features a unique visual style. The Windows game can be bought stand-alone, while the Xbox 360 version is only available in The Orange Box.
