Text Missile Command

Description
Text Missile Command is a single-player, freeware, Missile Command variant that uses Ascii characters in lieu of graphics.
As with other games of this type the player has base, three in this game, from which they must shoot down incoming missiles to protect their cities. With each wave missiles come thicker and faster until the player is eventually overwhelmed, their cities are destroyed and the game ends. A bonus multiplier is applied to the score of the faster levels to reflect their increasing difficulty. Every ten thousand points earns the player another city to protect, the more cities protected the higher the end of level score. Occasionally spaceships fly across the screen which can be shot down for extra points.
The game can be played using the keyboard or the mouse, it retains the highest score. There is no sound.
