The Axe of Kolt

The Axe of Kolt is a medieval fantasy text adventure for multiple systems.

The player controls Alaric Blackmoon, a roving mercenary and adventurer. After the defeat of their previous employer, the player finds themselves wandering penniless and weaponless, performing odd jobs for food and lodging. In the village of Hengemire, the player learns that the nearby Kingdom of Hectate has been besieged by the Xixon, a race of lizardmen from the swamplands to the east. The player takes on the task of finding the Axe of Kolt, a mystic weapon that in the hands of the Hectate royal family could smite the invading lizards. The player soon sets off to find the sorcerer Magor who originally forged the axe.

The adventure is divided into four parts. There is a save/restore feature, and all commands are by VERB NOUN entry.
