The Birds

The Birds is a straightforward shoot 'em up in the tradition of Galaxian.

The demented swarm of Pterodactyls exercise a reign terror over the empire of Pluton. The goal of the game is to defend the planet and to destroy these evil winged horrors and their mutant buzzard cohorts. The player is at the bottom of the screen and controls a laser base that can move to the left and right. Three kinds of birds appear at the top of the screen and will drop bombs while swooping down to attack. Shooting them can earn the player points per each type of birds. Points are also gained by shooting the bombs they are dropping. The birds turn into falling bombs when they are hit and have to be dodged or shot. From time to time a duck will fly by at the top of the screen and shooting them will earn even more points.
