The First Hero

A pastiche of several Greek myths, this game puts the player in charge of an ancient Hellenic warrior, seemingly brought to life as a silhouetted painting figure on the side of an urn. Various mythological opponents, including gods, monsters and other heroes, need to be overcome by succeeding at a variety of mini-games and logic puzzles, themselves solved by clicking on on-screen hotspots in the correct sequence. Puzzling scenes include facing naval hazards, resolving a riddle issued by the Sphinx, pursuing the Minotaur through a labyrinth, and descending into the Underworld (past Cerberus, across the Styx with Charon, and through Tartarus with the eternally tormented souls) in search of your dead wife.
