Description
In this sequel to the Heroes Rise series, the player directs the decisions of a hopeful competitor for the second season of the (in-game) reality TV series The Hero Project, hoping, not for fame or fortune, but (secretly) for a cure for degenerative side-effects of their kid sister's jellyfish animal powers. In addition to the expected burdens shared by all the aspiring Powered individuals -- to perform well under duress on camera and triumph through progressive rounds of challenges -- the protagonist is an animal-powered superhuman, combating discriminatory stereotypes of being dangerous and feral. Icing the cake, every morning the hero awakens with the powers (and elements of the appearance) of a new and entirely different species of animal, with entirely different special abilities to go along with the new form!The planned events on the reality TV show rapidly go off the scripted rails, and the protagonist finds themself uniquely suited to make some sense of the lethal new situation, in tandem with (or perhaps despite, depending on player decisions) a compelling and uncanny prophecy influencing them from behind the scenes. Will the protagonist realize their potential as a Powered hero, save their sister, or even progress to the next episode's challenges? Only the sum of the player's choices can influence that outcome!
