The Inheritance

Returning to the commercial text adventure field which he pioneered, Scott Adams of Adventureland fame presents a new text adventure. This one is puzzle-filled and boasts some new bells and whistles from this oldschool designer -- literally, incorporating sound effects as well as a beefier text parser and a complete digital King James Bible included on the disc with which to unravel some of the game's puzzles.The starting premise is thin, but nothing beyond a throwback to Scott Adams' heyday: the player awakens in a hotel room, from which he must depart and travel to the Mansion on the Hill, the estate of a now-deceased eccentric relative whose legacy it is the player's task to claim.
