Description
The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça & Pizzaboy is a traditional point-and-click adventure game, based on the Portuguese comic book trilogy The Adventures of Dog Mendonça & Pizzaboy. The game's graphics were drawn by the illustrators of the comic book.
Dog Mendonça, a werewolf, is operating a detective agency for the occult, with his unpayed intern Eurico (Pizza Boy), Pazuul (a demon in the body of a girl) and Gargoyle (a gargoyle head) working for him. The story begins when a mysterious client called Nadia appears, who seems to be worried about a gypsy curse. However during the first investigation Dog Mendonça disappears without a trace, and it is up to Pizza Boy to find him.
Most scenes consist of scrollable background images with hotspots on them - when clicking / tapping on a hotspot the object can be viewed, used / taken or talked to. An inventory and a notepad with your current goals are also included. When you find suspects or witnesses the game will switch to an interrogation mode where you have to get enough evidence for a conclusion. Occasionally you will also have to play a simple fighting mini-game.
