The Lady

The Lady is a short surreal game that aims to evoke feelings of confusion, anxiety, paranoia and depression. You control a deformed humanoid character who is only able to move left and right and shoot left, right or upwards. In most levels you have to avoid cutting objects like glass, scissors or barbed wire and perform certain actions to open an exit. The correct actions are not always obvious, and if you die you must restart at a checkpoint at the beginning of one of the four chapters in the game. If you hurt yourself too many times, you might get a Kill Screen (the game closes itself to the desktop, with no further warning) which means that you must restart from the very beginning of the game.
