The legend of PicoHERO
Description
The legend of PicoHERO is a simple, short RPG game with a Zelda-like real-time gameplay and NES-styled graphics. To save the fairyland, the PicoHERO must defeat "Satan's shadow". The hero can be moved in four directions with the on-screen controls, and can attack monsters by running into them.
The hero has three attributes--life, strength and defense. Experience points are gained by killing monsters, and reaching a limit of experience points grants a level up, increasing strength, defense and maximum life points. There are a number of items to pick up: potions which restore life to maximum, keys to open doors, a glove to move rocks, sword and shield to improve attributes, and jewels necessary to defeat the shadow. Apart from monsters, the player is threatened by fire pits that cause major damage when the hero stands nearby.
The game was originally released as part of the compilation PicoPicoGames.
