The Long Way: A Hitch in the Plan is a 2D click-and-point adventure game. It features an inventory and can be controlled via mouse. It was made for Global Game Jam 2015.

Story

The nameless protagonist is a wanderer on a highway with changing scenery. He can put out his thumb and may get a car ride. During that ride, he can have a conversation with the driver. Some answers may cause him to leave the car before its destination.
