The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is a side-scrolling action game based on the film series.

Players control Aragorn through six levels, based on locations seen in major action scenes from the films: the Mines of Moria, Helm's Deep, and Minas Tirith. The goal in each level is to reach the exit. To get there, Aragorn must defeat orcs, navigate ladders and jump gaps, evade falling rocks and find levers to open doors. He can also smash barrels that may reveal red or green potions. Red potions restore his health while green ones add charges to his "elf cloak" power which he can use to turn temporarily invisible. Mid-level checkpoints allow continuing after the loss of a life.
