The Maze
Description
The Maze is a 1st person adventure for the Apple II.
You play as a graduate student in learning processes, who late at night while contemplating their thesis receives a call from noted psychologist, and your thesis adviser, Dr. La Brynthe. Just before elaborating on a way to save your thesis, the doctor begins to shout on the line about an unknown assailant, and the line goes dead. Desperate to help the professor and save your thesis, you drive to his home and enter his house.
Gameplay is from a 1st person perspective, and the player can move forwards, left, right, or turn around. Commands are entered via VERB NOUN entries, and the player can locate and use items found within the maze. Items are not labelled nor described, so unless the player can decipher the graphics, they cannot manipulate the item. If the player is killed, they are transported back to the beginning of the maze to restart their adventure. There are numerous instant death scenarios.
