The Puppet Man

Description
The Puppet Man is a text adventure for the BBC Micro.
Towards the end of the last century, there lived a puppeteer whose puppet shows always attracted large crowds. Such was his skill, that rumors abounded that he puppets were actually tiny people under the puppet-man's control.
When it was announced that the puppet-man was to attend the local fair with his little people, crowds from all over the surrounding country began to descend on the tiny village. On the morning before the opening of the fĂȘte it was discovered that the most important marionette of all had been mislaid or possibly even stolen.
The night before, the player had dreamed that Mnemosyne, the wife of Zeus and mother of Muses, had tasked the player with helping her daughters in return for finding the lost marionette.
The player must travel through their dreams in their quest to help Mnemosyne's daughters Terpsichore, Thalia, and Erato. All commands are via VERB NOUN entry, and there is a save/restore feature.
