The Rewinder: Root of Evil

Root of Evil is a much shorter prequel to The Rewinder, released as a DLC to the base game. It takes place during Yun's childhood and features his father, Mont, as the player character.

Mont's wife is missing and he suspects that it has something to do with the White Lotus. When trying to find her, Mont and Yun spend the night in Liu Village, where strange things are happening. At night, Mont is able to find a memory shard and move to the past to discover what happened and change the course of events.

Despite its short length, the game has several different endings.
