The Suspense

The Suspense is a puzzle platformer where a character needs to be guided through seven levels. He can only move around and jump, but time needs to be manipulated to solve puzzles in the environment in order to progress. At any given moment the player can switch between three time periods: past, present and future. Each period looks different, but the overall level design is the same. Where there is a gap in the past, a bridge may have been built in the future. In later levels the switching needs to be done more quickly to climb platforms, use jump pads and moving platforms, or to grab keys. Things can also be transported through time periods. A crate from the future can for instance be dragged into the past. When dead, the character immediately respawns. The game has three difficulty levels.
