The Wheels on the Bus: Humpty Dumpty

The Wheels On The Bus: Humpty Dumpty is a collection of mini games and activities for young children. All the games are mouse-controlled and played from the disc; there is no need to install to the hard drive. The games play in a window in the centre of the screen, with the remainder of the screen filled with a background of musical notes — the games are set in Sing-Song City.

The game's menu consists of several characters standing in the centre of the game window. Clicking on most of these triggers an activity, plus there are other hot spots that trigger a small animation hidden in the screen. The characters and the activities they trigger are:

• The ABC Cloud: This displays a blackboard with the letters of the alphabet around the edge. Clicking on a letter triggers a message, for example 'A is for Ant'; 'B is for Boy'. Each message is voiced and is accompanied by an appropriate picture
• The Numbers Cloud: Once again, this displays a blackboard: this time, with the numbers 1–10 written across the top. Clicking on a number displays that quantity of an item—for example, five jellies—and a voice counts them off one at a time
• Soldier Skittles: Six soldiers stand in a triangle formation. The player clicks on the bowling ball to knock some or all of them down and a voice counts them as they rejoin the formation
• Bleep The Bus: Clicking on the bus triggers a short animation showing the bus arriving in Sing-Song City. There are soldiers on the bus and the off-screen voice counts them as they leave the bus and line up on the pavement
• Humpty Dumpty: Selecting this character brings up the words of the nursery rhyme, and a bouncing ball moves across the words as they are sung
• The Band: Choosing to click on these characters shows them in the bandstand, where clicking on each of them individually triggers a short tune. It is not possible to click on two or more and have them play alongside each other
• Daisy the Dog: Daisy is a white dog with black spots. Her activity shows her in a field with a number of bones and an off screen voice asks how many bones there are
• Mr Green The Park Keeper: This mini game is a very basic two piece jigsaw showing one of the game's characters
• The STOP sign: This triggers a cartoon
