The Wild West

The Wild West lets the player take control of the famous outlaw Jesse James who has to escape a Texas Rangers ambush. The game is played from a top down perspective and Jesse can move and shoot in multiple directions. The game starts out in a house that is being attacked by two rangers. The walls of the building offer some protection but will ultimately break down by shots, both those from the player and those from the attackers. Once all enemies have been killed the game moves on to the next screen which features a different layout. Later activities in the game involve trying to rob a stolen payroll from a tribe of Indians, boarding a mail train and finally a heist at the Dodge City bank. Being hit leads to a lost life and when all three are gone, the game is over.
