Thor: The Dark World - The Official Game

Thor: The Dark World - The Official Game is an action game based on the 2013 movie of the same name. In ancient times the Dark elves ruled the other worlds of the cosmos with an iron fist with Malekith as their leader. At some point in time the Dark elves and Asgard under the leadership of Odin (in the movie it was Bor, Odins father) waged war on each other. Odin and the other Asgardians defeated the Dark elves in battle. Never hearing from them again they believed they had defeated them for good. However the Dark elves have returned to take revenge.

In the game the player takes control of Thor and his hammer Mjölnir. Gameplay incudes mostly 2D weapon based side scrolling beat 'em up with some sections where the player has to use his hammer to fly. Enemies drop blue and green crystals. The green ones restore health and blue ones can be used to buy upgrades for extra health or extra damage. Fandral and Heimdall can be summoned for a special attack.
