Time Crisis: Mobile

Description

Time Crisis: Mobile is an entry in the Time Crisis rail shooter series. This title for mobile devices is an alternate version and spin-off of the main Time Crisis 3 game. The player controls the elite cop Richard Miller, a special agent from the intelligence agency VSSE (Vital Situation, Swift Elimination). His objective is to liberate a compound of enemy targets within a time limit. True to the original games the movement and camera angles are all handled by the computer in a cinematic style with quick movement, the player only needs to shoot. This is done using different control schemes. In the first an on-screen cursor needs to maneuvered between targets. When it is close enough, it locks on automatically. Another option has the screen divided in nine squares where the device keys are used to quickly press them to shoot in the corresponding square. Touch to aim directly is also supported on some devices.

The player quickly needs to alternate between a cover position and coming out to shoot. Using cover is the only way to reload the gun. That position always makes the character invincible, but it is necessary to dispose of enemies quickly as when the timer runs out, the character starts taking damage. Shooting is disabled while reloading. Enemy shots are either marked yellow or red. Yellow ones are misses and can be ignored, while red ones do damage if they are not avoided through seeking cover. Many enemies take multiple hits and life bars are shown.

Next to the main Story mode five Crisis Missions can be unlocked by reaching certain targets in the Story mode. In the options the difficulty level and the number of lives can be adjusted.
