Tin Soldiers: Alexander The Great

Game cover: Tin Soldiers: Alexander The Great

Description

Tin Soldiers: Alexander The Great is a simultaneous turn-based strategy game. The player is Alexander the Great, the ancient historical commander and ruler of Macedonia. Players guide him through his conquest of the world, fighting against Greeks, Persians, Egyptians and the Indian Army. He commands various units (infantry, cavalry, archers) who take part in the battles. The player gives orders which are then executed simultaneously with those of the opponent instead of taking turns. Through a reaction system mid-turn adjustments to strategy can also be executed as each turn has several parts for corrections.

The main campaign consists of several battles where decisions are carried over. Between battles it is possible to recruit new units, reinforce existing ones, spend resources on training or replace commanders. There are also battle cards with various effects. Multiplayer is supported through LAN and online. The game's visuals are based on tin soldiers, presented as icons without animation.
