Description
Top Of The Pops: The Essential Music Quiz is a DVD game for one or two players/teams. The game keeps score throughout so there is no need for pencil and paper.
There are ten full games and five short games. Each game is numbered and self contained so the questions from one game will not appear in one of the others. Players select a team name and then take turns answering four multiple choice questions. There are also 'All Play' questions in which the first player/team to shout out the correct answer wins the points.
At the end of each round the host announces the scores for each team. In the early rounds correct answers earn points which help the team move up the charts, players start at position forty in a long quiz and at position twenty in the short quiz, but in later rounds there is a penalty for an incorrect answer so teams can drop down the charts too.
The quiz is voiced throughout by Tony Blackburn though he does not appear in person
