Transgression

Description

In Transgression the player takes control of a hacker who has illegally entered a series of computer systems and must fight against drones and administrators. The game plays somewhat similarly to Joust. The player controls the hacker, who is riding on some sort of flying cyber bike, on a 2D plane which scrolls back and forth. Enemies enter from the sides and the player hit them from above in order to destroy them. If the enemies hit the player from above, the player loses a life. The player can reduce the amount of enemies on screen by entering a portal. The player's goal is to collect eight computer chips, which will allow the player to proceed to the next level by entering a portal. The player can get computer chips by destroy administrators, who are riding in similar vehicles to you. The player starts out with nine lives and can earn additional ones by destroying three enemies in quick succession. Destroying ten enemies in quick succession will give the player a temporary invincibility power-up. There is a 99 second timer which counts down as the player plays, when the player proceeds to a new level the timer is reset back to 99. Once the timer reaches zero or the player runs out of lives it's game over.
