Treasure Island

Treasure Island is a Caribbean-themed adventure game for the Atari 400/800.

Played from a top-down scrolling point of view, the player controls a small ship, and must explore the Caribbean in search of 4 map pieces. Each one of the map pieces are hidden on an individual island, while many islands are empty, requiring the player to explore extensively. The player can visit port to purchase a number of items, including: food, lamps, sails, and ropes. When all 4 map pieces are collected, the location of the eponymous treasure is revealed, and the player can sail to its location. Maps can be found on the Island of Carnivorous Plants, Crypt Island, and others.

The player starts with 100 health points. When they are attacked by a monster or encounter dangerous terrain, they lose 10 points, and the enemy is destroyed. If all health is lost, the player perishes.
