In this futuristic tale of sci-fi scavenging, following what ought to be by all rights a fatal mishap in hard vacuum the player plays the role of the latest, most junior member in a ragtag band of misfit aliens, united under one cause -- the ability of the Lady Luck's captain Isan to rustle up marginal but lucrative courier and salvage contracts.Choosing from one of three skill-sets reflecting life before the accident, compounded with the player's choice of character motivation, players navigate episodic missions the ship undertakes (and, almost as important, the intrigues on leave) and the thorny relationships between the inscrutable alien members of its motley crew, including a bird-man, a mantid, a shape-changer and a shadow-demon among others.Plans go awry and confidences are betrayed (possibly by the very player!), and that's where things get interesting, as the game gradually reveals the secret driving the captain, the captain's extra-judicial pursuer, and indeed the vessel itself. Working according to the well-established conventions of prior ChoiceScript games, gameplay consists of a matter of reading from text output on the screen and selecting from one of several options presented. Chosen actions will be successful or not based on the player's current inventory and the sum of previous decisions they made, the game keeping running tabs on a variety of RPG-style concerns under the hood. This game's first release was to the Amazon Kindle platform.
