Tri-pool

Game cover: Tri-pool

Description

Tri-pool is a sports game that simulates variants of three different cue sports: pool, 9-ball and snooker. In pool, you are trying to pot the 15 balls in any order. In 9-ball, you try to pocket the nine balls in numerical order. In snooker, you try to alternate an unnumbered red ball with any numbered ball. Then, once the red balls have run out, pocket the remaining numbered balls in order. One and two player modes of play are possible, with no computer opponent available.

For each game, the direction of the white ball is controlled by a cursor which can be moved around the table. The speed is determined based on the power-meter which automatically increases and decreases. There are five buttons for striking the ball to impart spin, or "English", in different directions. You only have about 5 seconds to complete your shot, otherwise it will strike the white ball automatically. If you do not pot one of the required balls with your shot, this counts as a miss. Each game allows you a total of three misses before the game ends. The game may be continued by adding extra money.
