U.S. Geography Tutor
Description
U.S. Geography Tutor is a single player, mouse controlled, quiz based on the geography of the United States of America.
The game screen shows a green map of the U.S.A on a white background, state boundaries are shown but the states are not named - nothing is. Principal rivers and lakes are shown in blue. When the test starts a question appears in the left of the bottom menu bar and the player has to either click on a state, river, lake or an answer from a pick list. There are four kinds of questions: The State questions and the Lake and River questions take the form "Locate the state of xxx" or "Locate lake xxx"* and the player answers by clicking on the map. The player is told if they are correct and if they are incorrect the appropriate state/feature briefly flashes white
- The Capital City and Largest City questions take the form "Identify the capital/largest city of xxxxxx" and the player is given a list of five names to choose from
The player can select any or all of the four categories and the test continues until all questions in the chosen categories have been asked, there are one hundred and fifty-nine questions in total, or until the player stops the test by asking for their score.
