Description
UFO Online: Invasion is a turn-based tactical combat MMORPG set in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi world. After a massive alien spaceship attacked Earth in February 2024, xenovirus capsules rain down, triggering a devastating plague and infiltration. Although humanity repelled the initial invasion, alien lifeforms and remnants remain scattered across a drastically altered planet.
Gameplay combines tactical, simultaneous-turn combat with expansive MMO systems. Each turn consists of a 60‑second planning phase followed by a simulation phase, enabling large-scale PvP battles with minimal wait time. Players explore a sprawling open world filled with hidden quests and resources, gather and craft equipment, and engage in a player-driven economy and industry. Character progression is detailed, featuring over 100 skills across 11 masteries.
Distinctive features include its real‑time‑simulated, simultaneous‑turn combat system that keeps multiplayer action fast and dynamic. The game supports social depth through clans, base conquest and defense, and territorial warfare, blending strategic warfare and MMO interactions. Originally released as a freeware title on November 28, 2009, UFO Online: Invasion was later launched on Steam in June 2016.
