Ultimate Care Bear Love Rampage

Ultimate Care Bear Love Rampage is a short side-scrolling arcade game with an 8-bit visual style made for the January 2013 Global Game Jam by members of Fishing Cactus. Meant to be played by two players, the screen is split up horizontally as two care-bears race/fly through an environment for the best performance. The bears are controlled with just two keys. By mashing them together and then timing the rhythm the bear is propelled through the air. Through the two keys the player controls the vertical level and the speed. Along the way purple hearts can be picked up and the bears can level up to extend their power bar. By moving through the environment and not crashing into obstacles, the speed gradually picks up. When the end of the level is reached, the game is over and the final score along with the winner is shown.
