Ultimate Puzzles 1000 is another jigsaw puzzle title from Valusoft who also published Ultimate Puzzles 500.
Puzzles are held on the disc in these folders, Arizona – 22 images; Autumn – 35 images; backgrounds – 23 images; Beaches – 22 images; beads – 35 images; Boats – 31 images; Butterfly – 56 images; Children – 12 images; Classic – 19 images; Fireworks – 13 images; Fractal – 196 images; Landscape – 56 images, Marine- 25 images; Material – 29 images; Microscope – 48 images; New York – 77 images; Parks – 45 images; Sunsets – 31 images; Things – 46 images; Trees – 13 images. Within the game they are grouped into broadly similar categories with some overlap, for example a child on the beach appears in both the Beaches and the Children categories.
The pictures can be split into puzzles with nine, twenty-five, one hundred, two hundred and fifty, five hundred, one thousand and sixteen hundred pieces that can be extra jumbled and rotated.
As with Ultimate Puzzles 500 the player is also able to choose what "world" they are playing in for the puzzle field, that game had six options whereas this game has eighteen. The game has both 2D & 3D modes, special effects, sounds and keeps statistics on how many games each player has completed. It also allows the player to import their own pictures.
