Ultimate Solitaire 500

Ultimate Solitaire 500  is a large collection of five hundred unique solitaire games with, it is claimed, two hundred 'never before seen' games. It is one of a series of Ultmate Solitaire games, later games being Ultimate Solitaire 750 and Ultimate Solitaire 1000

All games are played by mouse and are played in a window that can be moved but cannot be resized, many of the drop-down menu options open up smaller windows which can be freely dragged around the screen.

• Games are grouped into one deck games, two deck games, four deck games, pairing games, re-dealable games, and special games and are listed alphabetically. In addition to the supplied groupings players can create their own list of favourite games for easy access
• The game records statistics on games played, games lost and games won and can record statistics for multiple players
• There are over twenty card backs and a similar number of background images, The card faces can be customised and the game has optional sound effects and music
• The cover clearly states that the player can create their own card backs and can create their own games. These features were not observed when the game was played.

As with many older games there are issues running Ultimate Solitaire 500 in 2021 under Windows 10, while it will install and run flawlessly the help files which contain the rules for all the games try to open a browser window and fail.
