Ultra Aktion

Ultra Aktion is a side-scrolling platformer with minimalistic graphics. The background story: saving the world by killing evil.

There are exactly three actions available: moving left or right, jumping and firing the gun (constant fire when holding the button) with unlimited ammo. While crossing the three levels, the player will constantly shoot the gun in order to kill the numerous enemies and receive points for the effort. Every enemy contact results in instant death and there are only a limited amount of lives available. Fortunately at some points of the level, power-ups canisters appear from the ground (and disappear if the player does not react in time) which contain useful things like smart bomb or weapon upgrades. Each level ends with a boss battle.
