Uprising

Once again, science can celebrate a new victory over nature: the first sentient AI was developed in the form of a computer virus! Too bad it soon becomes too sentient and starts to ravage through all available systems... During the 15 levels, the player takes control over this AI and needs to dispose of all anti-virus measures humanity throws at it.

Uprising is a top-down, duel-stick shooter: the avatar is moved with one stick and aim is controlled with the second stick. The goal of each level is killing all opposition before they manage to drain the player's health bar. Besides shooting the weapon (it receives upgrades during the course of the game) with unlimited ammo, the second ability is slowing time so the player can dodge attacks. However, using it drains energy which, just as health, can be refreshed by picking up spawning power-ups.
