Vampire Castle

Vampire Castle is a text adventure for the BBC Micro.

Once upon a time, there was a small village nestled in a serene valley. All was not peaceful, though, as each morning the villagers awoke to find more cattle and sheep brutally slaughtered. They set traps and hunted wolves, but to no avail. Then one morning, they awoke to find that one of the villagers had mysteriously disappeared. Despite searching, the missing villager could not be found and that evening, eerie organ music and screams could be heard emanating from the local castle. This can only mean that Count Dracula has returned. The player has volunteered to enter the castle and destroy the fiend's vile lair.

All commands are via VERB NOUN entry, and there is a save/restore feature.
