Vixel: Volume One

Vixel: Volume One is 3 programs containing 2 games for the VIC-20.

• Fire: The player controls a water dropping helicopter that moves laterally at the top of the screen and tries to put out the spreading fire in three buildings. The helicopter can hold 1000 water, and each drop uses 50 water that can put out 2 pieces of fire. The helicopter can refuel at the top of the building at the right of the screen. If the fire is successfully put out the player wins, but if the fire spreads too far the game is lost.
• Draw: A high-resolution drawing program makes it easy to create pictures on the screen, and then save them on tape.
• Race: The player controls a car trying to earn points racing around a many lane circular track before the computer's car crashes into you. The player picks up points by passing over dots on the track and, after having passed fifty dots, the computer's car starts laying down diamonds worth five points. The player loses a life if they hit the opponent's car.
