Game cover: Wall Street

Description

Wall Street is a 2 - 6 player strategy game for the TRS-80.

J. Q. Smith, multi-billionaire and chairman of eight corporations and four holding companies, announced today that he will gradually retire from all of his corporate positions and and will sell off all of his stock over the next decade.

The stocks will be sold on the open market, and whomever the common stockholders choose to elect shall be the next chairman. The object of the game is to become the most powerful player. Chairmanships bring with them both power and prestige, as well as a tidy salary.

Each corporate chairmanship is worth a point and each holding company is worth 3 points. The first player who obtains 11 points at the end of any calendar year is declared the winner. The stock of any corporation or holding company that is owned by a holding company will be voted for the chairman of the holding company. The stock owned by a player shall be voted for the player. All chairman elections occur once annually at the stockholders' meeting.

Each turn, the player takes the opportunity to buy or sell stocks and shares in a holding company. The player can make income based upon the performance of their shares.
