Warfare Incorporated
Description
Warfare Incorporated is a strategy game with classic mechanics for handheld platforms. It is isometric with sprite-based units, set in the future and features two antagonized sides that fight over the control of a valuable mineral on a newly discovered planet.
The base gameplay is the same as in Command & Conquer and its many clones: build the base, gather resources, produce combat units and send them to wreak havoc upon the enemy base to establish dominance. Some of the missions follow a different routine, for example there are ones where you have to rescue allied units or go commando-style (similar to some C&C missions) behind the enemy lines. The story-based campaign features fourteen missions in total plus there are additional single-player maps.
Online functionality allows for download of additional maps and multiplayer. It is possible to play locally via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi or through online servers with later iOS versions. It supports a maximum of four players on a single map.
This game entry covers the commercial version of the game. In 2014 it became freeware, open source and lived on as Hostile Takeover.
