Description
Wimpy is a 1-player spaceflight game for the TRS-80 CoCo
You are a passenger on the starliner Wimpy, heading to wherever the first year navigator manages to find port. Things haven't looked too good on this trip as the food supply was mistakenly swapped with that of a swine transport. Things turn worse when a siren sounds. The ship has collided with an asteroid and everyone is heading to their escape pods. Unfortunately, this ship is outfitted with Personal Escapemods Version 1 by Fat Chance, Inc., the biggest hunk of junk ever put together.
The game window is divided into a large front view, and 4 separate panels that provide top/bottom and side views of the vessel. The screens will show the location of dreaded Hugons, so the player can try to avoid them. The escape pod has limited fuel which is drained by acceleration. The player's shields take damage by getting rammed by Hugons, and if they take too much damage the ship is destroyed.
